        Helllooo.

I noticed right now at her cage’s corner (Where she always pees and poops) and I noticed 2-3 tiny flies roaming around her poops and pees.

I am not sure what can 2-3 tiny flies cause but should I be concerned about it? Rabbit is pretty fine now, eats normally and so on.

The flies are very very tiny and hard to be seen unless on sun or a flashlight is shined on the location.

I am more confused now. The internet shows some pictures of the flies, indicating they are more bigger and in green colour. But the ones I see are really tiniest, cant be seen without a clear light and doesnt seem to be in green colour. Am I wrong if they are flies or not? o.O

I just cleared her cage fully with vinegar and water. Hopefully this will solve the concern but I am still concerned how the tiny flies should look like in order to arise the concern of flystrike.

You should probably take her to the vet and take few samples of her poops for analysis.

No flies were spotted after cleaning, so I guess everything is fine now.

Might be that they where there just because of the moisture and hot weather.
Just keep an eye on her and litter box now. And try to change it at soon as you can. However it’s not bad to take poop for analysis from time to time just to be on a safe side.

The main risk with flies is fly-strike. It means the flies lay eggs around the bunny’s anus. Check your bun twice daily in the summer, if there are any signs of flystrike, you need a vet asap. Cleaning the litter-box often and keeping the bunny’s butt clean (most buns do that perfectly well themselves, but not all) is key for prevention.

Just go to the vet. Best thing to do with things like this. Poor bunny.

She’s all good, nothing bad noticed, it has been simply solved by cleaning the cage with vinegar! Don’t worry
