Hi! I have an outdoor bunny who’s never been inside before. I’m worried about how he’ll do on the Fourth of July, so I’m thinking about bringing him inside for a day. He is going to be an indoor bunny when I move in to my new place in September, so I was thinking this could be a good test run for both of us to see how he’s doing on litter box training and all that. But, at this point, I’m unsure about what will be more stressful for him; being outside, in his hutch, where he’s used to, OR the travel to my house (he lives about ten minutes away, at a friends house at the moment) and then spending the night in this unfamiliar environment where he may end up being terrified by the fireworks anyways. I need help figuring out what’s gonna make him the least uncomfortable on the fourth! Thanks!

I would treat him like he’s a new bunny. Get him a nice sized cage, maybe put some stuff in it from his old outside pen in his new cage so he has familiar smells too. As far as litter box using goes, get a rectangle cat litter box and put rabbit safe litter inside with plenty of hay.

The change will be adjusting for him, but just do your research about the cage and litter and food and such through this website to insure his happiness.
