Hi as some of you may have read my gorgeous Lola had a seizure/ stroke the other day I took her to the vets and she is on baytril and metacam and also a course of panacur.
Now she can move about but still very wobbly. She seems not to have full feeling in her front paws which knocks her off balance although she does manage to correct them and sit much better now.
She is managing to groom a lot better but sometimes stumbles.
I’ve been having her out of the cage just for two minutes to stretch her legs better supervised.
Is there any type of physical therapy i can do from home for her?
I know she may never fully recover but she’s such a sweetheart this morning she’s been playing with the toilet roll and jingle ball with her boyfriend Huxley x

Here are some tips on how to make life easier for a bunny that has head-tilt: head tilt tips

Lola might not have a full head tilt, but since her balance is off, some of the tips could be of use to her.

It is of course good that you give her short, supervised “leg-stretches”, it’s important for the tummy, but I don’t think you need to start her on an exercise-program just yet, since she’s just begun her treatment.

Thank you I had a quick look on this page the other day. Her head is as straight as it comes lol it’s everything else bless her. I’ve just had her out once a day just to stretch her legs and been making sure she’s not lying down for too long but she’s sitting up a lot better now x

I know I may come across very eager and I know I’ve only had her 3 days but feel like I’ve had her forever she’s part of the family and just worried about her ?❤️

We all adore our buns and are pretty rabid bunny mommas, so don’t feel that you come accross in any particular way – chances are we’d all be reacting the same way in your situation.

I agree with Q8. You don’t come across as particularly eager. Us bun parents worry about our buns
I’m glad you are seeing improvement in her already! I’m also glad her head isn’t tilted of course

Hi love thought I’d ask you a question soon as you have helped me so much already which I really appreciate ? Panacur dosage pbviously with Lola being a Netherland she’s very small at 1.5lbs and I’ve been giving her half of 1 graduation as it says 1 graduation per 2.5kg would this be ok? I also need to treat for 28days is this correct?
                    Thank you x

The dosage sounds goo and 28 days is correct. If symptoms persist after 28 days you can continue the Panacur even longer, but don’t stop it sooner, you want to kill the parasite in all its life-stages.
