My bunny was pooping last night (they were literally falling out of hi at one point and he had to run to the litter box). He wasn’t too excited about eating his pellets last night, which is very unusual, but we attributed it to him eating a ton of hay yesterday.

But this morning he won’t touch his pellets. I tried greens and he won’t eat those. I tried alfalfa that we have as a treat and we wont’ eat that. I can’t tell if he’s pooped at all overnight, but I can tell there isn’t much hay missing (there are two of them).

He’s not completely sedentary, but definitely has less energy than usual at this time. He seems like he can’t get comfy and keeps adjusting his position.

        I am scared, advice?

If you are pretty sure that he hasn’t pooped or eaten in 12 or more hours, I’d get him to a vet asap.
If he’s pooping and eating less and seems uncomfortable, he may have painful gas, in which case you can pop into any pharmacy and buy pediatric gas drops (unflavoured, if you can) called simethicone (generic name). Give him 3ml first hour, and 1ml every hour for the three hours after that – they usually do the trick in breaking up the gas and thus eliminating the pain and preventing possible episode of GI stasis.
Don’t worry about using them as a first resort – buns cannot come to any harm from this med. And feel free to dose him with his favourite treat if he won’t take the drops on his own (mushed banana seems to go down well).

Yes, we verymuch want to know how you are getting on. 12 hours without eating and/or pooping is a veterinary emergency, so please take him in if you can. Here’s a good article about stasis:

One (not so quick) trip to the vet and Neelix is back to terrorizing the house. The vet recommended we continue to feed him watered-down pellets for a couple of days to make sure he is getting enough water, and I discovered that crushing up some ice with the tiniest smidge of banana is also pretty effective at making him drink water. HIs girlfriend likes to bully him away from BOTH water bowls so he was probably a little dehydrated. We’re still not sure what caused the blockage but we’ll go in for a follow-up visit early next week.

Thank you everyone for humoring me! I already called the vet ahead of time when I posted this and mostly needed something to calm my nerves while bunny’s dad got ready to leave.
