I am planning to adopt a male flemish giant and a female lion head both are just about 8 weeks (will br when picked up) and obviously from different litters. Both will be altered as soon as they’re of age. I’m having a hard time finding information on bonding to babies, other than its much easier than trying to bond adults or a baby and adults. How do I go about it? Since they’re both so young can I just introduce them and put them together? Separate cages unsupervised? Not sure the protocol here..

They sound adorable. I love Flemish Giants myself. I wouldn’t try to bond them until after they are altered. Once they are altered and have had time to heal, then you can go through the normal bonding process as you would adults. See

While you are waiting, you can get them used to each other by trading litter boxes, cages etc.

I agree with BB. Bonding babies isn’t really advised, because it’s not really a cemented bond. One they hit puberty they will often get into fights or start not getting long so you need to separate them anyway while you get them spayed and neutered. So it’s best just to wait until you can get them both done and given them time to heal before introducing them in neutral territory. The swapping of cage items until then is a good idea
