My 8 month old bun loves to escape her pen and chew anything she can find. She has eaten a lot of strange things, but none of it has ever done any damage to her and it’s always in small quantities ( I always catch her) Well this time I was out of the house and somehow she got to some bananas that I thought were way out of reach. She ate about 75% of a medium size banana peel included. Since then I have noticed major changes in her mood and diet. The day of and the day after she was eating and drinking well, eating plenty of hay. However today, a few days after the incident her energy levels have been very abnormal and she does not have close to the same appetite.

Any advice on what to do? Should I be making a vet appointment right away?

I would err on the side of caution and get her seen. Especially as the weekend is approaching and it may be harder to get an appointment later if she deteriorates. It could be that it’s unrelated to the banana but low appetite and energy are certainly signs something is up.
