I got Willow about three months ago and while she is definitely not scared of me at all (she will come up to me for food and play around me) she has absolutely NO interest in me. If I have a treat I am her best friend, but every other time she will ignore me. She does not come up for pets. She’s LOVES my cat who will lick her between her eyes.

I don’t pick her up, so that shouldn’t be the reason. How can I bond with her? I feel like if she doesn’t like me in three months, she never will.

Easy way to bond with your bun, lay on the floor Just lay there and watch as she hops around for a few hours. Theres no doubt during those few hours of floor time, she will end up jumping onto your back/stomach to investigate what you are doing and why you are doing it. Dont reach for her so she doesnt think of you laying down as a trap. Just let her explore. If she tickles you, its ok to laugh/giggle. All three of my buns were so confused by laughing when they first started to jump onto my while i laid on the floor. They always end up investigating my face to see why my body is wiggling and why im making silly noises at them

I think it can take up to a year or even longer for some buns to come around. My relationship with Jack is still growing and I’ve had him for about 5 months. Even in the last 30 days our relationship has progressed, so I think you need to give it some more time. Some people take a long time to fall in love – I think bunnies can be the same.

How old is Willow? Is she spayed?

Three months is a short time to know a rabbit, especially if they’re shy or wary of humans from a past or if they were born that way. Rabbits see humans as predators. We fit the bill pretty well- tall, smells weird, walks heavily, etc.,etc. I agree with Mikey, a great way of bonding is to lay on the floor, do your work on the floor, watch TV/read a book/newspaper at night on the floor. Just let her hop around and sniff you.
