Unfortunately, my cat found a nest of several bunnies and injured one of them. I wasn’t sure how badly that bunny was hurt so I left it in the nest with the uninjured and re-covered the hole. The next day I went to check on the little ones and there was one less bunny. We haven’t let the cat out since the incident and have a fenced in yard. The bunnies are also pretty young and I don’t think they’re venturing out of the nest by themselves. Would the mother rabbit remove the injured (possibly deceased) bunny?

Yes, I think that is most likely what has happened. That is good of you to check in on them.

Most of the time. Sometimes they are pushed to the bottom of the nest where they are eventually flattened by the weight of the others
