Hi! I’m new in this forum. I just need help with something. I tried googling it but I can’t find any solution. I have two dutch rabbits. One year old. I just neutered them last month. They were sweet before but they got much sweeter now. They’re very clingy. They both always likes to be beside me, on my lap, chest. And they always want me to pet them. I can’t do anything anymore because they always want me to stroke them and hug them. I can’t reject them because they kiss me when I stop and gets mad at me by nipping my hand and they’re too adorable to get rejected!! Help me please! I like petting them but sometimes I just have to do what I need to do.. Help!! Oh and yea, it’s hard to pet them both.

Your dilemma sounds like every bunny owners dream. I bet there are some members here that will be quite envious.
Are the 2 bunnies bonded? Do they get comfort spending time together? Grooming each other?

Aww.. Yea. They are quite nice because they’re very very sweet. And I love them. Yup. They are bonded. They’re like twins, actually. They cuddle and groom a lot when they’re inside their cages or if I’m not home. But when I’m home, they will follow me wherever I go and they both like to cuddle me and asking for strokes ALWAYS. i know it’s nice. But I just have to get things done. I don’t want to lock them in their condo, I feel bad. I love them so much but I have to work.

Wow, you have some great bunnies! I wish mine would sit on my lap, although he does live to be petted.

I would let give them both pets for a certain amount of time (10-15 minutes), a few times a day.- see if you can sit beside them and use one hand on each, or just go back and forth. When the time is up, give them a healthy treat to reward them and signal that petting time is over. Then go about your day, even if they follow you and beg for more attention. I always talk to my bunny, but that can be done while doing other things! Nipping is obviously undesirable, and I would let out a high pitched sound of pain and turn away if they nip.

Also maybe try to get them involved in some playtime- paper towel rolls stuffed with hay, plastic soda bottles tightly closed with pasta inside (my bunnies always loved the noise!) or cardboard boxes with holes cut out so they can shake out pellets or a few other small treats. Maybe that will make then more focused on playing instead of you. Also, the fact that they are happily bonded should fulfill a lot of their needs, and hopefully alleviate some of your guilt. Rabbits are excellent at guilt trips lol.

Good luck with your awesome love bunnies ☺!

I’m gonna try rhis!! But I think that’s a smart idea. I’ll try to give them treats. But do they really go nuts when they got a treat. It’s like from being calm, they freak out and they want more. Must be because i tried to train them to a jumping obstacle course thingy. Lol. And i give them continuously

I tried buying them and diy’d lots of toys for them but they don’t usually notice them. They just want me. But gonna try the pasta. How do you do that? Can you please please take a photo? I didn’t know that they can eat pasta..
Thank you!!! I’ll update you if it works.
