I set up a sauna tube for an entrance/exit for my 8 week old mini lop,I thought it was at the perfect ange so he could go in and out with no problems.Well,The first time it went out the tube it just slid right down like it was a water slide.I never thought it would be able to get back up the tube to the cage but about an hour later i heard nails an cardboard and sure enough i saw a bunny head poking out from the top of the tube!So far the bunny seems to enjoy slidind down the tube and scampering back up to the cage!

Don’t worry the tube is not at such an angle the bunny slides down dangerously fast just enough so it has no choice but to slide down slowly,I’m pretty sure It’s enjoyable too!

They love tubes to hide in – is this a cardboard tube (it sounds like it). Rabbits are all fur – they don’t have pads on their feet like cats and dogs so it is harder for them to get traction . Sometimes it does take them awhile to figure things out but they are curious creatures so they will eventually explore. If you can put carpet in the tube where he scampers up and down it might hlep with the traction too – I’m just not certain how you would do that.

            Hahaha – how fun!!

I also have a bunny that enjoys to slide. The first day I brought him home from the rabbit rescue, and let him run around, he did this run around my living room to the kitchen, and then once he hit the tile in the kitchen, he sat down on his bum and slid across the floor, and then crashed into the dishwasher! It was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. I thought it was completely accidental – until he did it about 6 more times

Yup it is a cardboard tube,And thanks for the carpet idea I’m going to try that.I an going to put two tubes for the bun to get in and out with to see if it actually likes to slide.

Aww, I love seeing the bun’s slip and slide. Frankie used to slide around in my bathroom on purpose. I’ve always wondered how awesome it would be to see him try to run on hardwood!

Bunny slide: this has got to be the best toy ever!

MooBunnay, your visual there is just too funny!  LOL Finn slips around on our hardwoods but I never thought about it actually being intentional or enjoyable.  I hope it is both!

Any pictures of this cardboard slide would be most appreciated…I’m so interested and know just the area this type of thing would go!
