My 6month old Holland lop is blowing his coat. It’s like a strange combination of losing his baby fur and normal seasonal coat blow all at once. Basically his coat looks awful and he’s shedding -A LOT- . In theory I’ve read about this twice a year, blowing their coat time. But in reality, holy cow!

I’ve been brushing him with my dog’s zoom groom rubber toothed brush which is doing fine but leaves massive piles of hair everywhere. I know slicker brushes are kinda hard on my short coated dog, but would they work for a nice double coated bunny? It just seems like it’d help contain the tumbleweeds somewhat. What kind of brushes do you guys use?

I use one of those human “shampooing” brushes and then have a go at him with an IKEA lint roller. Does the trick for us.

Coat changes can be pretty overwhelming. lol

HAH! I never thought about lint rolling him haha. Shampooing brushes seem to be like the people version of a zoom groom with the rubber comb teeth so maybe I will stick with that style then. How long does the coat change last??
