Am I the only person who goes Thrift shopping, or to charity shops. Or whatever second hand stores are called in what country you are in, looking for things for your rabbits. Here are some of the cool things I have found.

        -fleece blankets

        -rugs for my rabbit’s cage

        -untreated wood things for chewing

-found a child’s camo pop up tent

        -dishes for veggies and water

-found a dog crate  (made sure to clean it first before using for my rabbit.)

-babies toys (made sure to sanitize them first.)

So, what things have you found for rabbits or other animals at thrift stores.

I got a play house thing from a charity store. I had my young nephew with me at the time and the sales lady thought it was for him.  It’s like this. The steps are reversible as a slide. I have mats fixed to it so its like a ramp. I’ve also put something across the yellow “seats” so it’s like a upper floor.

You’ve inspired me to go back and look around these stores again. The buns could do with some new things and I can always use more fleece blankets.

I go to charity shops a lot! I’ve bought a doll bunk bed for the buns and an IKEA doll bed for 2,5 dollars (most recent bargain!), a softt plush bunny bed ( that Bam regrettably bit like 50 big holes in the first night he had it), a big tunnel and a dog crate and several rugs and lots of other bunny things. It’s so much fun to shop in charity shops, there are always items that intrigue you in some way or other.

Wow, bam you got lucky on what you found, sadly we only have like 2 thrift stores where I live. But the dog crate that I found, I had to do some work on it, I had to re-weld it back together. But for 8 bucks who can complain. It’s in storage for a little surprise once I get Zeke fixed.

the tent with his cat cube. best find I have found so far, I also got a dog dish (that I use for his veggies) for 1.48, so I think that’s a good find.

He must love that tent! It’s even camouflage-colored. Buns like being camouflaged. Nobody can find him in there! =D

Those are some great thrift store finds. Something I should perhaps try I think, except jerseygirl has probably cleaned them out by now

Nope, no thrift shopping by me lately. It was about 6 years ago that I got that play house.

My mom works for a charity store though, so she supplies me with old towels and the likes sometimes. There’s a lot of things they have to throw out that aren’t suitable to sell in the stores.

No thrift shops really in France – well there’s Emmaus which is old people’s house clearance warehouse, and they sort it all for homeless and needy first… but that’s about it – AND it’s really expensive… but England – WELL, England is one big charity shop and “Pound Shop”!!

We also have things like pound land called dollar tree, five below(miss that store so much) and dollar General. Goodwill is probably my fave store to look for things and the UK has probably some of the best small pet selection ever!

Unfortunately “Pound Shop” generally translates as (as with SO many other things) “Made in China” – which I have started to consciously boycott – it’s very limiting, but extremely satisfying when I find something I like which is NOT made in China….
