        Hi everyone,

I am looking for any store bought or homemade toys you recommend because I think my bunnies needs a little more variety then just the same old boring ones.

        Thanks,

        BouncingBunnies

if you’re handy, try weaving some willow.

I made my bunnies a litlle hut and a tunnel of weeping willow branches.

They absolutly love it. it’s a great chew toy, something fun to climb on top of or even a good hiding/relaxing place.

I also like to hide some of their food in between the branches.

a litlle downside: the hut I made got completly chewed up and destroyed in 1 week time.

they’ve had the tunnel for 4 days now and they already made a hole in the side big enough for them to squeeze trough.

So they don’t last very long, but my bunnies sure have tons of fun with them.

I made mine with branches from our own weeping willow and a litlle string to make the construction a bit easier, (I cut the string out after I was done)

I don’t know if you have tried these, Forumleader LEL put together these toys for us once.

I agree with Frey&Louise, willow is good for making toys of and willow is rarely if ever treated with pesticides. There are many varieties of willow, but all are deemed bunny safe. As for string, plain (undyed) sisal string is bunny safe. Apple twigs are also often appreciated as chew-toys, but with apple, pesticides can be an issue.

My buns have never been interested in toys, the only toy that gets used is the treat-ball and only one of my buns are interested in it. I give him his daily pellets in it, it gives him a bit of exercise. He’d never chase a ball if there weren’t yummies falling out of it
