          Hi joshricefarm,
My best guess is to 1) take him to the vet and see whats happening or 2) do a little research on google and the forums
          Hope this helped

Hi my bunny went through something like this too. In the picture it just looks like a piece of dust, and it shouldn’t affect anything to your bunny, but if they are acting weird or anything, I would suggest taking them to the vet. It should go away in a while if it is just dust. Anyways, I dont think you have anything to worry about.

You can try rinsing the eye with saline, eye-wash for humans is fine. Just squirt some on his eye and see if it rinses away whatever it is. Repeat a couple of times. If it doesn’t go away, contact a vet. My Bam has had sth on his eye that was easily rinsed off. Hopefully this is sth of the type.

Looks like an eye booger to me. Sometimes a hair will get in a bun’s eye and it will get coated in eye slime and then get crusty and come out. I agree with Bam – eye rinse or good old fashioned spit on mom’s finger (if your bun, like mine, will let you clean his eyes).

                  Cute little guy!

If this doesn’t rinse away, it will probably require a vet visit. If it’s something like the beginning of a corneal ulcer, it will need to be treated so there isn’t infection further into the eye. The vet might do a stain test where they put yellow dye in the eye to show up if there is a scratch on the cornea. Usually treatment is antibiotic eye drops or ointment that contains a pain reliever.

I agree. Try rinsing it to see if it’s just a crazy eye booger. If it doesn’t go away, then have a vet examine it more closely because, like JG said, it could be the beginning of a corneal ulcer.
