        Are frozen fruits safe?

I wouldn’t feed my rabbit frozen fruits and vegetables. It would be too cold for them, and when you freeze them, they loose all of their protein and nutritions. It would be better just to feed your bunny fresh things. Hope this helps!

Understandable! Looking for a fresh cold treat to beat the heat and frozen fruit came to mind.

Freezing does not cause a loss of nutrition. Frozen vegetables actually hold nutrition better than canned or fresh vegetables, after a week from farm to supermarket, and a week in your fridge, many fruits and veg lose much of their nutrients.

Frozen fruit and veg can be a great treat, especially in summer to help keep them cool, it’s just good to be mindful not to give very hard veg frozen as a rabbit eating frozen carrot may accidentally damage a tooth. However I believe berries are a good choice (in small amounts of course) and you may have better luck blending up some and pouring into ice cube trays than serving the actual vegetable or fruit frozen whole. Even things like Kale and capsicum (bell pepper) freeze well.

I wouldn’t give big pieces because buns don’t know about brain freeze! Also, they shouldn’t have a lot of fruit anyways. But I used to give my Olivia some small bites of all natural fruit popsicles and she loved them.
