I just figured I should introduce myself and my bunny

I have owned rabbits since I was about 7 years old (and am now 24!). I took a break after my first two bunnies passed away (about a year apart from each other, both over 10 years old) and got a new one two years ago from a local shelter after his cuteness just did me in and I had to say no more lack of bunnies!

        So, meet Koi!

I do not know how old he is; he came into the shelter at the same time as the big Easter drop-off season, but he was full grown so not sure if he was actually part of Easter madness or not. He loves to run around the house and get into things, and also enjoys laying outside in the grass on warm days. He’s a generally lazy bunny compared to my previous ones – not sure if old age or just his personality – who knows!

While all of my bunnies have been great and have all had their own personalities and amazing qualities, I think I’ve bonded with Koi most due to the nature of his circumstances. When I adopted him he could not be handled and didn’t like people at all. Today, he sits on my lap, climbs all over my keyboard, lets me do anything to him and runs to greet everyone who walks by him (including our dogs). It took a lot of time and patience to get him that way, but he’s turned into a really sweet little bun!

I’ve always been curious about what breeds could possibly be in him – any guesses?

Welcome to Binky Bunny! Koi is very cute! It’s great that you got him from a shelter.

It looks like he could have some Dutch in his mix, and some Dwarf too.

Hi and Welcome to you and your super cute bun!

He def has a Nethie dwarf-type face so my guess is a mix. No guess as to what the other breed (or breeds) could be. Really adorable, for sure.
