So…my bun likes my AC set at 68 F…but that is going to kill my budget since I have to have it on 24/7 for him (on energy saver setting).

Jack is just like my fiance. Likes it freaking frigid in here! Meanwhile I’m wearing a sweatshirt.

What temp do you set your AC at in the hot weather?

Mine is always around 72 degrees with wind moving. I’ve noticed my bunny Oliver enjoys cold water bottles more than the colder room, since when he’s cold he cuddles in his t-shirts more often which is around 67 degrees. My past bunnies loved our basement level which was around 68 though. I think it depends on the fur type and what they’re use to.

My bun is mostly outside so her coat changes with the seasons (mega moulting at the moment and she attacks the brush when I come near her, so she’s looking like a bunny hobo at the moment !!) LOL….

When it’s summer here the house is cooler than outside, so she prefers to comes in then.
When it’s winter here, the heating is on and she prefers to be outside in the cold !!

            No pleasing some people !!!

So jealous! Were saving money to move out, which means i cant have the temperature in here set to 68F any more

Instead, we have it at 72F, which is ok with me and the bunnies. It helps to have a fan on, too

In winter, I generally keep the house at a coolish 16 C, as I like the bunnies get out any day the weather is fit, and so they build up warm winter coats, which they can’t take off indoors. It has the added advantage of keeping the winter electric bill down, and I live in a fleecy onesie all winter lol. We’ve no AC, if it gets too warm in summer, I have reflective blinds, and rely on them to keep the house cool.

During the summer, I try not to let the rabbit room get over 25C (sorry, Canadian here. )

Yeah I’m thinking 72 is a good compromise, but I want my bun to be comfortable. I’ve been selling at 70, but I’m second guessing myself.

Unfortunately it’s been 90 F (32C) the last couple of days (is not even June yet!!) andNYC can be like an oven. AC is a must. I grew up without it, but country living trends to be much cooler than apartments in the city.

3 months with a terrible electric bill isn’t the worst thing in the world I guess.

                    I used a Google converter – 25 C is 77 F so that’s actually way higher than I was thinking was ok.

                    Thanks!!
