Hello, I am new here, but need some input please. Thursday evening, my bunny Oliver presented with head tilt : ( I took him to the vet this morning (earliest I could go) and she prescribed him antibiotics for ear infection and told me to come back in a month and to buy Oxbow Critical Care and feed that. I can’t find it anywhere near me, so I ordered it on Amazon, but it won’t be here til end of next week! What do I do til then?? I tried grinding up some hay and pellets and adding water and tried to feed through a syringe, but it won’t squeeze out! I’ve tried making the hole bigger, but then it won’t fit into the side of his cheek. I’m frustrated. What can I do to feed him?? Please help! Thanks : )

Add more water to the hay and pellet mixture (it should be a thin paste/thick liquid) so it comes out easier

It’s likely the hay fibers clogging the tip. Try simply grinding pellets to powder and mixing with a bit of baby food or plain canned pumpkin filling. I assume you’re using a feeding syringe?
