        Hi asking another question here,

Mochi is pretty stinky sometimes…like a poopy stinky smell.

        Her bum looks clean.

I think it MAY be the anal gland things, and I tried to find them on a couple of occasion but for the life of me I can not and she is a shy bun. She is a fluffy lion mane, I did trim the fur around her bum and stuff but it seems to be no help.

The glands are really difficult to grasp and you shouldn’t feel around there risking causing her to be sore. When my bun got a little stinky from rolling around her litter box, I just gave her bum a quick wash with some gentle bunny soap. This was the only time I ever washed any part of her, and hopefully the last because I don’t want to harm her coat or stress her out. It got rid of the stink though!

Do the poops have a sheen on them? If so, they are territorial poops that are specially coated with stinky stuff. The smell can linger around their bum as well if they are regularly marking.

Ahhhh, yes, her poopies are a bit “shiny”. (not mucusy tho, jsut adding that as that is a very distinct difference)

She is in my new place and in the livingroom she has been scattering a few (which is a new behaviour for her, in my other place she did not scatter).

I have been finding a couple around the maze haven lately.

Olly is doing that in his cage, but not his playpen, I think its just bunny saying. ‘Leave my place alone.’ Thinking us humans will not touch the area.
