Here’s a little background. I went to petco and pet smart for the longest time until I saw PETA and then noticed the rabbit toys I get have glue on them so I stopped completely. So he’s been on wood chews and plastic balls, cardboard boxes and toilet paper rolls for the longest while. I really want him to have more willow or branches as he loves them to death!!! So I went to Michaels today to look for natural baskets, and all they had were the bleached tan colored “natural” baskets by Ashland. So I went looking around more in the store as I was not comfortable with that and I found Natural Grapevine Swag by Ashland and Natural Pinecones by Ashland. So i was wondering if anyone knew if these were safe or not? I bought them but have not given them to him yet as I am not going to give him something I don’t know about.

Also, would it be safe to order off of a farm on EBay for rabbit toys and chews?

I don’t know anything about the Ashland brand. One of my concerns with rabbit toys and chews is that they are made in China. Last year, I ordered a willow ball from petco.com when they were having free shipping. It was the Ware brand, which I had heard of. There was nothing about country of origin on their website. I also saw the product on other websites, but again, nothing about where it was made. Of course, it turned out to be made in China. I returned it to a store near me. I ordered a different kind and brand of ball, a rope ball from Amazon, and it turned out to be from China too. I really wish that sites would list the country of origin, but it looks like that doesn’t matter much, since it appears that all the toys come from China.

Have you checked out the toy section here? https://store.binkybunny.com/toys-c2.aspx.

There is a website that I found several years ago, because I enter online contests, and it was listed as having a monthly giveaway. I only entered it occasionally, but I actually won a few months ago. http://www.funnybunnytoyco.com/page/page/1268127.htm. The toy that I won for my bunnies was 2 wooden heart shaped chews. They only had their company address in California listed on the package, and there was nothing on their site about country or origin for the products that I could see, so I’m not sure where they come from.

            Sorry for the late response….
Thanks. I have tried the bb store but everything is way too expensive for shipping. $20 for shipping?? I think not
A cart of $60 went to $80. So that’s out. I wish they would lower the price, the products are so good, but so expensive to ship. I could just go to etsy and get a bunch of rabbit stuff and eBay and Amazon for the same price with cheap shipping. Does anyone know of anything else?
Or anything g about the Ashland brand?

Hmmm, that’s interesting. I order stuff for my 2 rabbits from the BB store, and I’ve never paid $20 for shipping. I usually buy the mats and the baskets, but my shipping stays around the $6 mark.

If you know someone who has willow trees and/or Apple you could perhaps ask if you can have some twigs? Willow is generally not treated with pesticides since it’s naturally resistant to pests. Any type of willow is fine. The trees are not sensitive to pruning, willow is one of the sturdiest plants there are.
