Hello all! So I have two female bunnies that have been bonded perfectly for about two years.
I’ll be moving to Montana this summer though and my friend is moving into an apartment and can’t bring her rabbit with her.
He’s such a sweet little guy and I don’t want him to have to go to a shelter so I was thinking of taking him in. How hard would it be to bond a male rabbit to two females who are already bonded? He will probably get fixed soon and both mine are fixed as well so there would be no breeding.

I can certainly be done, and has been done, but it’s the sort of situation that can go any number of ways. The male could bond to one of your females, but not the other, the bond of your current two could break, or he may not be able to bond with either of them. Just something to consider that you may have to keep him separate permanently or at least for a substantial period of time while you wait for him to be neutered and go through bonding. I would say in many cases it can be done and if it saves your friends rabbit from going to a shelter, than all the better. Perhaps you could offer to take him, but if bonding doesn’t work out you could offer to find him a good rabbit savvy home. I’m assuming that’s what your friend would do anyway if you didn’t take him.

I think your male bun needs to be neutered.  I think in the long run, he will blend in with the two girls.  From what I’ve read, their can be some rection episodes.  They have to live separate in the beginning.
