I’ve had my rabbit Zee for about 3 weeks, and am discovering some hacks. As a college student, I don’t exactly have all the money in the world to spend on her. This ofcourse does not include money I’m putting aside for vet care and things that she needs; like hay food and other things. We all need to save a penny here and there.

1: Instead of spending loads of money on tunnels and hides for bunnies, go into the cat section at walmart. They have amazing little cubes for about 4 bucks, and my rabbit loves them. have http://i5.walmartimages.com/dfw/dce07b8c-cc8e/k2-_9810576d-483a-4e89-9af0-fabeeb6a8844.v1.jpg

3: Cardboard tubes are a god send and make cute little toys and whatnot.

4: Using a step stool, as a hide/something for her to climb on.

5: Old large exercise ball: we have this ball that we got a long time ago for the guinea pigs(my dad was suckered into it) so I took the ends off of it, and she likes to roll around. This may be, I make sure to keep an eye on her when she uses it.

6: Thrift Store shopping for dishes/toys: Instead of spending 3/4 bucks on dishes for rabbits you can check your local thrift store and find something for your bunny to eat/drink out of (make sure to sterilize it also.) Also keep an open mind out for toys, such as rattles and baby toys (make sure there is no small parts the bunnies can choke on.) Also good for finding fleece blankets and pillows (after they have a good wash. And untreated wood pieces for chews.

7: Check your local dollar store: You never know what you can find at your local Dollar Store, that can go towards your rabbit and keeping them entertained.

8: Keep an open mind: Think outside the box and things that aren’t marketed towards rabbits, as long as they are safe they can work.

Hope this helps any future bunny owners and people who have owned bunnies before!
