I’m sorry for the long post but I really want to know how to know if my bunnies love me.

I’ve had my buns for nearly 2 months now and have scheduled to get them spayed for next week since they finally hit 4 months horray!
I was curious how I know if my bunnies love me?? or at least LIKE me a lil bit? lol
They aren’t scared me. I know this because even if i run towards them, they look at me like “the eff are you doing?” while laying on their sides (bunny flop). Then I will sit on the floor in front of them and pet them. Venus likes to be pet ALOT and HATES being held in my arms while Luna is too energetic to sit for pets a lot and TOLERATES being held. I always have to bunny burrito Venus if I’m going to hold her or cut her nails, but its not necessary for luna (tho I prefer to bunny burrito her so she quits squirming). They follow me around from time to time especially if they want treats (or think I have treats). They are SUPER NOSY. I lay on the floor a bit or open my closet, they come running out of their house to “check out the person on the floor” or “look in the closet.” Once I left my door open to talk to my housemate, and they ran into her room!  So I know they are happy rabbits and live a content life. Plus, because they are small breed dwarf holland lops, they are really chill and LAZY. 90% of the time they like to chill in their house no matter what kind of toys I put out for them…… I tried jingle balls, toilet rolls, wooden balls, apple tree sticks,….. However, They jump all over me when I’m laying on the floor and sometimes I will bend down and do nose touches with them. I always give them head kisses and they like to hop onto my lap and jump around if I have treats but i don’t like giving them too much treats because it’s unhealthy. If they warm up to me more, will this playful behavior get more prevalent? noticeable? will our bonds get stronger? Will they follow me around more? I try to spend a lot of time with them but they don’t like to really “play” unless I have cilantro haha but too much veggies isn’t that great either (i think). I’m also a college student so sometimes play time is cut short during midterm and final exam season, but I don’t worry too much about them because they have each other for company.
What are better ways to bond with them? do I sound like I’m doing the right things? sometimes I wanna pick them up and squeeze them (but of course I can’t because they are prey animals). I really want to bond more and become besties with my bunnies. I want the relationship many people here have with their rabbits. As in the bunny loves and grooms their human and likes to hop on their laps and stuff like that.

It sounds like have an amazing relationship with them already and that you’re doing everything right

Two very happy and content bunnies is what you have there. Since you have only had them two months I’m sure that you will continue to bond and that bond will get stronger. Just keep doing what you’re doing. Some rabbits do follow their owners around, but others don’t. With a pair you may not get them following you because even if you leave a room they still have each other. You can give lots of leafy greens, you just have to be sure that you introduce any new green slowly, one at a time over the course of a week. I believe the recommended amount is 1 cup of leafy greens (pressed in) per 2 pounds of body weight for an adult rabbit. You don’t need to feed that much, but it makes for a very healthy rabbit. Just be sure to gradually build up to the amount, and double check the greens you’re feeding can be fed daily etc. Actual vegetables and fruits (carrot, broccoli, apple etc) should only be fed in small treat amounts.

There’s a great article and food list here: http://rabbit.org/suggested-vegetables-and-fruits-for-a-rabbit-diet/

Keep in mind that greens high in calcium shouldn’t be fed every day either, although not listed on here.
