I noticed Loki is losing the little hairs on the back of his right ear. It also has some little dry flakes around the area. Should I be concerned? Why would this happen? It doesn’t seem to bother him at all. Should I be trying this “bag balm” that I hear of?- unfortunately I cannot find it anywhere in stores from where I live. Could I use Vaseline?

I think Vaseline is safer to use? but make sure to contact your vet before applying/giving anything to your bunny just to make sure.

It could be one of two things: just dry skin or mites. My Olivia had the same thing once in a while and the vet did a microscope check and determined it wasn’t mites. I used to put a little dab of mineral oil on the dry spots. I don’t think I would use Vaseline.
