        So, I got my rabbit Yuki last night, a BEW (Blue-Eyed White) Holland lop. A doe. It was about an hour and a half trip, and Yuki seemed not too frightened. I got her inside and gave her food and water before picking her up and sitting with her and massaging her and stroking her. She purred – more consistently than I’ve heard either of my other rabbits – and licked my fingers. However, this morning, when I got her out of her cage, she did NOT want me to pick her up. She thumped and ran around. When I finally got her and sat with her, she seemed content, but once again after I put her down she did not want me to pick her up again. She’s 14 weeks and comes from what we presume to be a very good breeder. (she was very clean when we got her, and is eating and pooping like crazy!)

        I know I just got her, but it’s confusing when one moment she seems to like attention yet when I put her down she doesn’t!

        By the way, she CANNOT be spayed. She is a show rabbit.

          Wow I am impressed at how quickly you are moving. My rabbit absolutely will not let me pick her up. She gets so upset and thumps at me if I try I have only tried once because of how upset she got (she wouldnt come near me for hours after that). I think you are doing awesome if she is allowing you to do this. However it might not last. I know a lot of people who have bunnies that are fine with it at first and then as they get older they dont like being picked up anymore. However I have heard that once they get past their teenage years they might allow it again. Mine absolutely will not have it. I am lucky if she sits next to me at all. I have a very active bun!

            Haha! Yuki prefers her cage rather than running around so far. But, all of my rabbits have had a tendancy to want to sit on my boobs… ;;
            She’s really vocal tbh. She definitely tells you when she doesn’t like something! She also lets the dog groom her, though we try not to let her in fear of the dog getting a hairball + the dog accidentally nipped her once.

            And wow, your bun sounds a bit sassy!
