So Ed had some crusties around his left eye to which I didn’t pay much attention to. It was only when his eye had thick white drainage that I got worried. I took him to the vet last Tuesday and Bun bun was prescribed neomycin ointment for his eyes.

My question is: When is his eye going to look normal again? There’s no more drainage but his eyelid is still pink and his actual eye ball is a little pink too…

He is suppose to be off the neomycin ointment this coming Monday.

Has anyone else had a bun with pink eye??

It can take awhile for the redness to go away. If it’s not looking better by Monday, then I would ask the vet. Ointment is notoriously difficult to administer. At least with mine it is! Maybe it wasn’t getting in there enough?

The eye honestly looks better. The white draining is gone but the eye is still pink. Maybe it’ll go away after some time off the meds.

I would definitely keep an eye on it. If it doesn’t continue to improve, then definitely ask the vet. They might try a different antibiotic.
