One of my rabbits, Ajay, left a grey spot on his wash cloth last night.  I’ve never seen anything quite like it, so I’m wondering if something is wrong, because that seems like an odd color to leave behind when urinating.

I tried googling, but just red herrings.  Perhaps it was just natural discoloration of the towel somehow?  Maybe mixed with feces?  I doubt the latter because he’s the bunny with dry small poops (yes I am concerned about stasis, but he eats the most hay and I actually fear maybe he eats too much cardboard).

        Thanks

I’ve never heard of gray urine in rabbits. I’d let the vet know and ziplock what they peed on so they can help you determine what it is. I’ve never had that happen and bladder sludge looks like your rabbit has peed sand. I had that with my male rabbit freckles when he became a senior. But I’ve never heard of gray urine..

Bladder sludge can be grayish, but it’s also thick, as Jessica says. Here are some pictures: http://www.medirabbit.com/EN/Uro_gen_diseases/generalities/Sludge.htm

Needless to say, if your bun’s urine looks like the third image on this page, a vet visit is of need.

If he eats lots of cardboard and hay it’s extra important that he gets lots of water. You can serve all his daily vegs freshly rinsed and dripping wet to increase his water-intake.

A photo of the gray urine-stain would be helpful, if he does it again, try to get a pic!
