When I got my first bunny he was 8 weeks ( I’m guessing he was taken from his mother to early) and after two months of having him I got another lionhead who was 9 weeks and he was 100000 times smaller than thumper was when I first got him at 8 weeks thumper has always been the size of a fat cat but the vet said he is within healthy weight. And still my Charlie is so much smaller than thumper is and Charlie is only two months younger than thumper. Does anyone know why that is? Is my little one under weight he was 2.5lbs at the vet. I’ll add pictures later when I can get to my lap top.

I don’t know that lionheads are recognized breeds yet, and they are made from different stock, as I understand it north american lionheads are small and european bred ones are quite large. Or one could be a mix, or more of an angora?
My Kahlua is very small, just over 1kg, but I think the european ones are much larger, and I think they’re bred from angoras-so those are pretty big.

The nice thing about a pair where one is much bigger than the other? you can always tell poos apart-very important for monitoring health

          They’re both adorable!
