I went to the market to get the pets veg this afternoon, as nice fresh local grown stuff is best for bunnies and piggies.

There are 3 or 4 stalls that sell veg in the market, but only one that is bunny friendly. The two ladies that serve there are always really nice, and often pop extra stuff in free, which often includes a few outside leaves of savoy cabbages or cauliflower, and sometimes a few carrot tops. Its not unknown for a whole savoy cabbage that has started to wilt to end up in the bag. I mentioned I’d adopted another little bun today, and its as well my son came with me, the bag home was so full and so heavy, with way more than I’d paid for in there.

With six hungry mouths to fee, the extras they give really help me out, and I just thought it would be nice to have a post quietly thanking these hidden helpers. Even if they never get to see it, they are still being recognised.

That’s awesome Sometimes the smallest things can make such a huge difference. On a tight budget here at the moment so certainly understand. Also +1 for shopping at the fresh market! I go to my local one every week.

That is lovely! I miss a proper farmers market, even though it’s not unheard of to sometimes see tailgate stalls on the side of the road around here.
