My rabbit had babies almost a month ago (total accident). One of her babies (the runt) has totally acted normal like the rest of them until today. We noticed that she was getting a little poopy on her butt but she didn’t start acting different until today. She has just been sitting by herself or next to mommy and just breathing really hard, to the point where she is rocking back and forth. I picked her up and turned her over and her whole butt area was covered in poop. I cleaned it off but I am super worried about how she seems to either be in pain or feeling really sick. I really don’t know what to do. Please I would appreciate any help!

If you don’t think the local vets are very good with rabbits, I would print this out and take it with you.

Thanks for the good thoughts! Unfortunately because my other rabbit needed vet care I’ve been a little tight on money and couldnt take her to the vet.
Good news though, she’s doing a lot better today and is running around and seems happy.
It may be because I gave them grass from the yard yesterday and maybe she ate too much or wasn’t use to it and it gave her a tummy ache? I’m just glad shes ok today!

                    Possible.
Best to just keep the diet simple for now. Hay and pellets if she is coping ok with them. They may still nurse which is good for the immune system. Mum might needs some space from the babies now and then, but she also needs be around them so they can ingest some of her cecal droppings or even her regular poop to build up their good gut flora.
Glad to hear she is doing better. Have you looked into CareCredit? That might help out for any future vet visits.
