  My 6 month old male holland lop has been frantic upon bringing home a flemish giant yearling. They are both males, and they have not met, but live in the same room. Monty (the lop) is not yet fixed, but will soon be. He has been incredibly hostile, which is the opposite of his normal behavior. He is the kind of bunny that begs for attention and wants to be cuddled. Now, he has been making laps around me during out hours, and chins me and everything else, poops in a circle, and raises his tail up like an endangered deer. He IS litter trained, so he has access to the next room over from mine, but only when I’m home since he chews the skirting boards. I’m home most of the day since I take online courses, so he is active most of the day.
  
  I think it’s just a matter of getting him fixed, but until then, I want to know if there is anything I can do to stop this behavior. When he first started chinning, it was cute, but now it’s all he does and it has gotten quite annoying. The flemish giant on the other hand doesn’t seem to mind the scent of Monty. We got him a few days ago, and already the little one is freaking out. I had hopes to pair them but now I am worried it won’t work out because of Mont’s hostility. There is a size difference obviously, but lop is used to playing with cats and big dogs so he is not intimidated.
  
  I’ve had to follow the little guy around with a vacuum, argh.. Is there anything I can do to fend this behavior off, or will fixing solve things?

  Can you keep them separately? He’s upset and understandably so. I would separate until he’s fixed, then start slow-with a soft toy or blanket being swapped between them so they can get used to each other’s scents.

  There isnt much you can do to stop the behavior. You can try keeping them on totally opposite ends of the house/apartment you live in, but he will still be able to smell your newest bunny on your hands, clothes, and even in the air which will cause him to act out. It might help a little as he shouldnt smell the giant as often. Dont try putting them together again until a full month after your lop is neutered
