Rabbit laughing?

Casper always does a little binky and head shake after doing something he shouldn’t.

He’ll run over to my glass of water, check it’s full and then shove it over. Then he checks on the puddle and then binkies off with a head shake. 

He steals my socks, drags them back to his cage flicking his feet at me, then binkies up to me with a head shake.

If I tell him to stop doing something, he will bound over to me, nudge me and then very very slowly do the thing he shouldn’t be doing again. Then he binkies off with a head shake.

If I accidentally drop the piece of food that I am feeding him, he binkies with a head shake.
If I sneeze, he binkies with a head shake.

I am pretty sure that this behaviour is akin to laughing, but I don’t know if maybe I am just becoming a crazy bunny lady…

Has anyone else encountered anything like this? What do you think this behaviour is trying to communicate?

So cute! I have had my bunny for only 10 days so I am still new at reading his behaviour but he does the same thing. Seems like a very playful reaction!

Haha, this cracks me up. Bandit was just the same. If I caught him doing something he shouldn’t, or I told him off for doing something he would always run off with a binky, thinking how fun it was that he got in trouble and did something naughty! I just know it was a game for him and he loved it, haha.

My Bluey does the exact same thing! He knows hes not allowed in the bedroom unless me or my boyfriend are in there with him (tons of wires around) so he will slowly walk over to the door, look at me, then binky and happy flail away. Even if the door is shut. Little trouble makers are adorable

When I tell Olivia to stop doing something, she will sideways binky and flick her tail…..the little stinker

Yessss!! My bunny does the same thing! When I’m feeding him something, he grabs it right out of my hand and eats it on the carpet, dribbling juice all over the carpet (he’s not supposed to eat on the carpet. I wonder why…). When I run after him, he runs away, shaking his head and flicking his feet. He also runs into the bedrooms, happily binkying and jumping. He isn’t allowed in there because he is obsessed with peeing on the beds. Once, in the middle of the night, the silly little bun manages to push the door open and jumps onto the bed, binkying. However, he is caught and taken back outside. 

(As I was typing this, he stuffed himself under a cabinet. Silly bunny trying to be a cat: “If it fits, I sits.” Or in this case, “If it fits, I stuffs my tiny little body underneath or into it.”)

I kicked my bun out of my bedroom a while ago when I had seen that he had chewed a ton of the carpet under the bed. Now I’m cat sitting the family pet,Fritz, and he has to have the doors open or he’ll start banging on them. Ford, my bun, has noticed that Fritz is allowed in there and so he thinks he should be too. Ford binkies and runs around through the hallway and to the bedroom door, sometimes he manages to get in  and then he does celebratory binkying/head shakes and then he starts running playfully away from me.
