Went shopping today with a list of different options to look for for our young bunny’s litterbox. Didnt find any on my list. I did find this kaytee soft granule blend bedding for small animals and it has lavendar in it. Put this in her litter box when we got home and she starts feasting on it. Thought maybe cause it was new but again a fewhours later she did the same thing. Is this harmful?

Is this a paper product? I imagine the lavender, uh, “flavor” is what is enticing her. Most paper-based litters are not harmful if a tiny bit is nibbled. But I would definitely worry if your bunny is trying to consume large quantities. Maybe switch to a paper pellet like Yesterday’s News? Or wood stove pellets would be a good choice as well. You want to stay away from anything that expands a bunch when wet.
