        Hello everyone.

        Just a small question.

I’ve got a 4 year old Buck, who is neutered and lives with me in my house. Just recently I’ve felt like he may benefit from a companion. He is very timid and gentle creature. Never bitten or attack me of anything ever.

I have been searching for a friend for him and it appears that finding older a singlle rabbit lady was harder that I thought.

So I caved and bought a young baby dwaf lop that was all by herself. So at the moment I’ve been liter training her, and she’s doing very well. I wanted to know if I could have her pen in the living room, the same room as my buck. I was worried that bonding her to myself would be hard having her upstairs where not much happens.

I moved her down on trail, to see what would happen, by Buck just sat on my lap, occasionally sniffing at her. She seemed very interested and followed him around her cage.

So then I put him away and let her out. She was much bolder and jumped out straight away keen to explore and even binkyed. Previously she has just lay down and slept.

Is it ok to keep her down stairs. I eventually want them to be pals, but I am waiting for her to be old enough yo neuter. I am planning on having bunny dates at my friends house on compleatlyneutral soil.

I’m just wondering if this is ok. I was planning on also swooping their pens over and mixing it up.

My buck just seems interested in me… He’s a sweety

        Regards Abby

Yeah, whenever you wish to begin bonding the pair you can move them upstairs. I don’t really see anything wrong with it… I also don’t have experience with two bunnies at once so this will bump your post up for others to see too. Good luck anyway!

I rescued two young girls last june and july (one took longer to find and catch) and I think they are probably sisters. Both were somewhat feral, and even after spaying, it was clear they wanted to fight each other.

I’ve kept them separate, but side by side for around eight months, and they have finally show signs of being comfy in close proximity, so I put them in the bathtub together yesterday and at least there was no aggression. Bonding a boy and girl should be easier than rebonding two semi-feral sisters, and keeping them in the same room so they get used to being around each other seems to be working for my girls.

Cool I think it’s ok, we will just wait and see. My male bunny is super excited keeps running around like mad. I think he’s happy it’s hard to tell if he’s excited or being territorial.

I have two buns that are not bonded living side by side in my rabbit room.

It may even help your bonding them later if they are already acquainted with one another. Just be sure they can’t get too close if you let one out for play time. They can do some pretty intense damage even through cage bars.

Well it’s been 2 days and she is defiantly interested in my buck! She didn’t like being picked up and now is starting to defy my encouraging back in to her pen! She also wee’d next to his cage! I’m not sure if it was a spray. As she also dribbles sometimes but she is a baby so r might be an accident I left them both downstairs in separate cages about a meter apart when I went to sleep it’s hard to know how they got on! I think I need to spend more time with her! I’ve put down a rug to cover my carpet against accidents. My buck went mental last night when we where in the room jumping and running all over the place it’s hard to know if he’s being teratoral. What does everyone think??
