I have 13 hams at the moment. 9 fosters and 4 of my own. The each live in their own detolf, except for my bonded robo pair, who share a detolf. I have kallaxes as the tank stands. Do any of you have hams? How many? What species? What kind of cage/tank? Names?

I have them growing up. I always loved having them around, but never got one as an adult.

I don’t have any hammies currently, but not two long ago, I had a Syrian, Pingu. Before her I had another Syrian, Stevi. They lived in a 40 gallon long tank.
Detolfs are great and nice looking cages. 12 detolfs though-wow!

I actually have 18 detolfs, at one point, I had 36 hamsters. I also have a whole bunch of bin cages. Someone dumped a whole bunch of hams in a box at my rescue. They had neglected to separate any of them, so of course they reproduced. Every one found a home, except Maggie, a gorgeous syrian who I adopted. My rescue doesn’t take small animals, so they just phone me as soon as one(or more) get dropped off. I’ve had degus, chinchillas, ferrets, guinea pigs, gerbils, hedgies, sugar gliders, squirrels, hamsters, rabbits, snakes, lizards, tortises, arachnids, frogs/salamanders, praying mantis, even fish! It’s like running a mini rescue at my house! Except I don’t have to do any paper work.? I keep a lot of the animals I foster though. Many of my animals are disabled or have something wrong with them. I hate it when animals don’t find good homes or they are euthanized in shelters. My shelter is technically a no-kill shelter, but they have had to euthanize small/exotic animals due to lack of space. In the past five years, they haven’t killed anything! I will foster anything that needs a home. My parents own a large acreage, so I keep farm animals that I foster at their place. I didn’t do much research as a kid on animals, so I took terrible care of them. I kept my guinea pigs in too-small pet store cages, hamsters in too-small pet store cages. I guess because my pets as a kid were not well taken care of, if I help animals, it’s my way of apologizing to those that were in too-small cages. I have thoroughly researched each animal that I have ever fostered/adopted and I am very capable of providing a home for these animals.

Yes, Lady Sniffles is quite cute. We took her in when my sister-in-law had to re-home her in November. She’s always surprising me with how clever she is.

Little Puffy Tail, your rat is so cute. I always kept mice, and I had a pair of piggies once, but I always wished I’d gotten a rat.

GuineaPig724, most of your animals are illegal in my state, except for rats. How odd is that? If skunks were legal, I would keep one as a pet.

I have had 5 past hammies. Thunder sadly died in January so I am without a hamster.
