        Hello!

I searched on this topic but only found threads that included sneezing. Boople came to me with a damp nose, but it gradually got wet enough to leave visible spots on cloth and skin. He doesn’t have any sneezles or wheezles or anything. It looks darker where the fur under his nostrils is wet, but I don’t know it that is due to colored discharge, or the fact that he’s a pig and gets food everywhere.

I swapped out his previous pellet litter for paper pulp stuff and moved his cage away from doors, windows and heaters.

        Any thoughts?

        Thanks!

It could be allergies or it could be a starting infection. One of my buns has a green nose often, but doesnt sneeze, so we took him to the vet only to find out he has really bad allergies and is likely inhaling dust from his hay while hes eats. Some days are better for him than others. But anyway, theres really no way to tell with out going to the vet to get a snot test done

My bunny has chronic wet/damp nose. It comes and goes. It has been like that since I first got him at 8 1/2 weeks. I did take him to the vet and he did get pumped up with antibiotics only to realize that he was allergic to his timothy hay. His nostrils used to be green depending on how damp or wet his nose was because all the little bits of hay used to get stuck there. He’s 5 months now and he’s doing much better now but there are days when his nose is wet. It’s never wet to the point it drips but it is damp enough that when he bumps me he leaves spots sometimes. I don’t worry about it much anymore as long as he’s not blowing out green/white snots along with a ton of sneezing. I was also told that a bit of dampness on bunny’s nose is fine especially when the weather is warmer because they only breathe through their noses so there can be extra moisture there. I would just keep a close eye on him and if he starts sneezing a lot or you see discharge, I would def. take him in to get checked.

Oh man… a bunny allergic to hay? Jesus wept.
I am severely allergic to his timothy hay, so I’m always loaded up with various allergy pills. If I don’t, it’s an onslaught that renders me useless. That would be a shame if Boople is allergic too.
His eyes are clear and he’s eating, pooping, and running about, so I’m hoping that it is just an irritant or allergy. He’s got an appointment with the bunny doc in a few days though, so I’ll bring it up for sure.
