Poe is my new bunny, I’ve been observing him for about 12 days and just 3 days ago I noticed that Poe seems obsessed with his water bottle! I was afraid that maybe the water bottle wasn’t working properly so I tried to give him a bowl. He seems to be drinking a lot of water regardless of it being from the bottle or the bowl. I am not sure if this is normal, but as a consequence he pees a lot. The problem is also that he pees everywhere… but maybe his tiny bladder just can’t handle it. Poe is very very small and probably 6 weeks old.

I had the vet check on him just a week ago and she told me everything was fine…I don’t know if I should be worried.

I’ve two rabbits and the smaller one driks way more water than the other one. I asked if it was a problem to the vet and he said that she was OK and is just the way she is… Some rabbits drink more water than others, just keep an eye on him and take him to vet if something change.

Normal for some bunnies. You can start litter training him to help with the messes a little bit. Neutering helps with the messes as well, but you shouldnt have him neutered untill hes around six months old

Thank you all for the advice.
I called the vet to make sure and she told me not to worry too much unless he was losing weight and/or not eating.
I am trying to litter train him the best I can. I am rewarding him when I actually see him use the litter box and I’m collecting all the “poops” and putting them in the litter box…he’s still not really getting it yet, but I hope things will change.

Hello BazziBun, all babies pee and drink a lot, same with human babies, with litter training bunny it is like teaching a toddler to use his potty, its a big step, when I was training Olly every time I heard him in his tray I would say, “Good boy!” I still do it now even though he is 3 years old, it takes time, it took Olly a little while to understand why he had to use a littler tray, because he came here last March and was an adult, he would lift up the tray and move it, do a poop, but one morning I saw he had done this but pooped in the corner but tinkled in his tray he had moved so I put some droppings in and he used it and he continued, he has had a few accidents with poop, but that was after GSI so I wasn’t bothered, I was glad that he did poop.
