Hi,so my un-neutered male rabbit, free ranges in my bedroom he doesn’t have a cage, just a litter tray. He stays in my room and will not leave when the door is open,is there any way to encourage him to leave? He doesn’t seem to like the tile flooring in the hall,as it’s slippy the living room is right beside my bedroom it is the door right next to it and I would like to encourage him to come in by himself. I tried luring him in with treats but he wouldn’t. Leave the room and he is very comfortable with me,every time I walk in the room he runs up to me for head rubs. How can I encourage him to leave “his space” ? Thanks for any replies..

Many rabbits don’t like slippery floors. They can slip and it scares them. They like firm footing. I put a line of small rubber backed rugs down the length of my kitchen, for my rabbits to hop on.

He has foam mats in my bedroom around almost all of the floor. If I put fleece over the gap would it help? I can’t keep it there as my parents won’t let me so it has to be something that can be moved quickly.

A fleece blanket would probably slide around on a tile floor as a rabbit hopped on it, but you could try it.
