Hi! I’m trying to bond my rabbits, they are both adults but live separate due to previous fights. I did my research and I’m doing the bonding in the right way now lol, they are doing fine, I put them in a big plastic box and shake a little bit, move it around etc. But the oldest and biggest rabbit keeps chewing on the other rabbit fur, is not hurting or pulling the fur out, she just sits there and start to chew… They didn’t show signs of aggression, in fact they keep getting on their back legs to see what is happening and when there’s a strange or loud noise they get very close together. I just want to know if I let her chewing or if I stop her. PS. They aren’t spayed because where I live(brazil – Sorry if my English had errors-) I couldn’t find a trustful vet to do a surgery on rabbits.

Are you sure she isn’t grooming your other rabbit?

She used to groom her but was calmer, I have the impression that she is nervous or super excited to be with her again

She seems nervous or super excited. I just don’t know if let her do this will make the other one more nervous and make this process more complicated

It could be over-grooming due to stress. That sometimes happens between bonded bunnies as well.

I see… So as long as she is not hurting Odara I’ll let her to this, Thanks you all

Just as an update the bonding today went amazing! I was there with them in the shower area for the first 15 minutes and for the first time Odara came to me asking to be pet and Lyanna came when I called her even though I had no food to her I think this bonding is mine too lol, our relationship is getting closer and closer, and in the end of the bonding they were lying down
