Hi! My rabbit has decided to make the couch her toilet. She has always been pretty good with using the litter tray but sometimes pees where shes not supposed to. Shes been mad at me the last few days because I wont let her pee on the couch. As soon as she jumps up and lifts her tail I pick her up and take her to her litter tray and she flicks her feet at me and goes in the tray but then acts all insulted. I dont want her to be mad at me Im hoping its a phase?? Does anyone elses rabbits do this??

I think when rabbits start peeing on couches, beds, etc, it shows that they are marking their territory like telling you “I’m the top bunny in the house now.” Maybe you can come up with a punishment (nothing too harsh) like putting her back in her cage for an extended period of time to remind her that you are the top bunny.

If she isn’t spayed yet, that might be why her litter box training has deteriorated too.
