I’m always looking to this forum for advice and reassurance and you guys have been so great  Anyway here is another weird question. Our foster bunny that we are looking to bond with our other bunny does weird things while he sleeps. He is a little hard of hearing so when he sleeps it is usually a pretty deep sleep. For the past two days while we were doing a bonding session, the foster bunny took a nap. During the nap he made sort of squeaking noises like snoring. He also chattered his teeth at times and his eyebrows were moving all around. He also sneezed both times and woke himself up. The tooth chattering only happens when he is sleeping so I’m pretty sure it isn’t from pain as he is all stretched out or flopped on his side. Is he just dreaming? Do rabbits dream? One time when he woke up he was super irritated and started humping our other bunny. He is a super unusual bunny so I was just reaching out to you guy to see what you think is going on.

Bunnies do appear to dream, yes. The twitching and tooth chattering sounds like he is in a deep sleep. The squeaking and sneezing might be something else.

My Bindi makes the most adorable little chewing sounds when he is in a deep sleep. Probably dreaming of bananas.

I think that is it. His feet were twitching today and he was making all kinds of little sounds and facial expressions as he was flopped…

it’s like when a persons eyes flutter when they’re asleep. just muscle twitching during a dream.
