        Hello all,

I have had my stray neutered(when I found him, I did not do it my self), about two months now, and I haven’t taken him to the vet yet. He seems extremely healthy (I’m a horse and dog person).

Do y’all recommend vet check ups, or vaccinations? I’m only concerned about possible vaccinations because he plays quite roughly with his dog brother and goes outside on nice days when we’re all outside. I’m sure his teeth need checked, I have yet to burrito him to check! haha

        Thank you,

        Amanda

EDIT!!! I thought he was neutered…Apparently, I guess he’s young. Because he didn’t have balls two months ago… So that will be getting done.

Hahahahahah! That happened with my Chewie. The animal shelter had him down as a 1-year-old girl. I adopted him, and a few weeks later, he turned out to be a 5-month-old boy. Surprise, mommy!

Depending on where you live vaccinations may or may not be required. In the USA I don’t believe any vaccinations are required. In the UK or Europe you’ll need to vaccinate annually for caliciviurs and myxomatosis, and in Australia you need to vaccinate for calicivirus.

If you consider worm or flea treatment at some point, make sure you double and triple check that the treatment you use is safe for rabbits. Some brands of flea treatment can kill bunnies within a day or two after application.
