I have a loppy that is just under a year old and everytime I let him out, he circles me and follows me everywhere to the point I almost step on him running in and out of my legs. Then when he thinks I’m playing with him or I go to put him down, he sprays all over me. He also humps me if I sit on the floor with him or if he jumps up on the couch with me. Someone help!! He isn’t neutered. Will that help? I’ve heard it won’t. I don’t have a ton of money, but I don’t want to get rid of him!!

This is classic courtship behavior, and neutering him is the only thing you can do to stop it. A bunny in love won’t listen to reason, and your bun is in love.
I have a bunny who did exactly the same only his chosen one was my dog. It all went away less than 2 weeks after he’d been neutered.

It definitely helped with our female bun. Circling is a hormonal behavior. It was so cute when she did it, but she would also drop little poops while she was circling. His behavior sounds hormonal, but hopefully someone else who knows more about male buns will chime in.

Besides the fact that your bunny will stop the circling and spraying, which is good for you, the neuter will also be good for him as it will alleviate his frustrations.

Yep, everyone is spot on with their advice. This is classic hormone driven behaviour, something that neutering is great at helping to eliminate. I would not be one for putting up with getting sprayed with rabbit urine all the time. Definitely time for a neuter

Mine does the circling, but doesn’t spray or hump me. Will it escalate to that? He’s getting neutered within the next month, I just have to get an appointment.

AHopper, it doesn’t always escalate into spraying and humping, it didn’t with my Bam. But it stressed him out, he was like a bunny possessed, and it stressed the dog out, the circling and nipping and following around.
Some male buns never display these behaviors. You don’t have to neuter them, boy bunnies are not at risk of any diseases if they’re left intact.

Bam, he’s not really that bad, but he does pee on the couch, on purpose after I make him stop doing something he shouldn’t be doing… ha

My bam’s peeing and pooping on the sofa stopped after his neuter, but I had had to block the sofa off from his access because he was obsessed with that too. Two weeks after his neuter he’d forgotten about the sofa, it just wasn’t interesting for him anymore. Now he only jumps up if someone sitting there is eating sth extra-yummy. But there’s no pee/pooping, just serious begging =)
