So we are about to pick up, sell mostly everything and move to the US Virgin Islands, and want to take our Bunnies – Bosley and Blossom. There are no quarantines with our Vets health guarantee – so that’s the good part. But we are going to live on a boat, and are wondering if buns get seasick. They have gone on long car trips, even came camping with us and did great! But we don’t know if they can live on a boat comfortably. We love our buns SO much, but if they would be miserable on a boat we have family that would gladly take them. Anything you have to say or offer would be great! Thank you!

Oh wow. Sounds like quite an adventure. I don’t have personal experience with bunnies and boats just I just read on a different site that although rabbits don’t get physically sick from motion sickness they can still still quite feel miserable. The hardest thing about this is that you can’t really tell if your bunnies will be sick or not until you have tried. If they do great in car rides, I would think they would be alright on the boat. They said giving bunnies a lot of fresh air and allowing them to see the horizon will help too. Someone was adopting a pair of bunnies and they needed to travel by boat for 2 hours. The adoption agent was worried about the bunnies getting sick because their other adopted bunny did horrible with car rides but they went ahead and the updated status had said they did really well on the 2 hour boat ride. They were eating, flopping, showed no signs of discomfort, etc. It was one of those small boats too… not the large ones. I guess it depends on that rabbit. I really do hope everything works out for you guys! Have a safe move!!!
