So my rabbit nibbled out some of her stitches after being spayed but the incision stayed in tact so she did not need to get re sutured. What im wondering is how the internal stitches will be healing do they heal at the same rate or faster or slower?? The outside one is healing nicely. This is driving me mad I have to find out the answer I have been googling the answer obsessively and cant gind any information!!

Why don’t you ring the vet?

How long has it been since the spay? Most vets will do a follow up re-check at half or no cost.

from my vet, i heard the nibbling is normal. As long as the rabbit is not bleeding out so much and is still eating and pooping.

Of course, you should contact your vet as well.

The vet said not to worry because the skin didnt open up all they said is rabbits are quick healers. Its been 7 days now. Its just that my bun is starting to crazy runs around her cage and some jumps and its hard to stop her. So I just wanted to make sure that if the outside one is okay the inside ones are okay too. She has a check up booked for Sat coming. Im pretty sure they said if the outside one is intact the inside ones are too. I just want some other opinions thats all.
