        I’ve had my rabbit ever since he was born since my two other rabbits did the do and TADaa new bun is born. He’s been living with me in my room ever since he was a week old because it’s too cold outside for him. Now he’s about 3 weeks old and he’s never shown any interest in chewing on my wires and I was wondering if he will start? There are wires everywhere in my room and I’m suprised he hasn’t chewed on a single one. His mom and dad liked chewing on wires >_>;

          why isn’t he still with his mother? 3 weeks is WAY too young to be away from mom, let alone 1 week.

          To answer your question, yes he will most likely start.

          He should not be free range in a room right now, he should be living with mom and siblings still.

            Besides the fact that the baby should be with its mother, and she should be inside the house with him, I hope that you are not keeping the mother and father together now. If so, the mother rabbit could already be pregnant. They can get pregnant again right after giving birth. They should be separated and kept that way, until they are spayed and neutered. Otherwise you will be having litter after litter.

              Every bunny is different. My first rabbit never chewed on wires (she was much older when I got her and this was also over a decade ago). My sister’s rabbits got behind their tv set and just went to town… everything was destroyed but that’s what happens when you don’t watch your babies. My current bunny never really did chew hard but she did nibble a bit on all different textures including wires and I think that was because she was a baby. She was around 8 1/2- 10 weeks old when I got her so everything was new to her. She is about to be 4 months old and doesn’t chew any wires but I also have my living room bunny proofed and I don’t leave her unattended when she was free range of the house.

              I’m just curious… where are the rest of the kits? At 3 weeks old, baby should really be with mommy. Maybe it would be a good idea to bring mommy into the room as well?

                I don’t think it’s safe to assume that the kit has been taken away from it’s mum as the OP doesn’t state that he took the kit away, just that it was brought inside but perhaps he brought mum inside too.

                3 weeks is far too young to know whether the rabbit will be inclined to chew on wires. Many do like it, but there are rare bunnies that never bother a wire in their life. Your best bet is to simply bunny proof the space and use cable protectors to cover your wires

                  I forgot I posted this but I took the baby in because it was easy for him to squeeze through the cage bars outside and because I was afraid he would freeze to death. Mom and dad have been separated but have been neutered since and are back together now. Baby wasn’t separated from his mom, she was also in my room. Cuco (the baby bun) was the only bun that was born since it was the first time mom gave birth I guess ?

                  He did start chewing on wires though haha but strangely only the white ones.

                  Sadly, Cuco has passed away recently this month due to GI stasis and I miss him a lot. My husband and I took Cuco to the vet as soon as we realized something was wrong and got to take home some medicine and fluid shots that you put under the skin. The vet showed us how to do the fluid shots but after an hour when we got home.. He passed away.

                    I’m really sorry to hear about Cuco.
