My bun has not pooped all night! It started two days ago with small dry poops. Yesterday night he seemed to be on the mend after s lot of wet greens. Today only VERY few small cecotropes like poops and some pearls. I have been up all night with him, when he does most of his poops, but none at all. What do I do!!!!??!!??

You can help him by massaging his tummy very gently, here’s an instructive video:

Try and etice him to eat on his own, wet greens are very good.

If he hasn’t pooped in 12 hours, call your vet. It’s important that he gets his gut moving. There are gut motility drugs that a vet can give him. He may also need sub Q fluids.

this is a good article about GI stasis, which means gut slow-down. It’s long but it has lots of helpful information:

Thank you! He is eating all on his own. He has eaten hay, wet greens (romaine and parsley), very few pineapple chunks, even pellets. His appetite is there, he just isn’t his normal pooping self the past few days! After I just gave him pellets, he did poo. Normal size, and coloring but they were 3 pearls. He then pooped while waiting for me by the kitchen and it was a large clumpy poop, but pretty solid, not runny at all. Vet opens at 8 have to drive him to her I feel bad upsetting him even more with a long car ride. He has zero symptoms aside from not pooping hardly at all and trust me, on a normal day, he goes A LOT

Can you get him to move around? Physical exercise often helps set the intestines in motion. (don’t chase him, but try to make him hop about a little).

              It’s great that he eats!

Your vet might be able to give you some advice over the phone.

He is super active! He is shedding right now. I was trying to keep him off pellets since he started with issues 2 days ago, but a few hours, figured why not? Ever since having the pellets he made several more poops of normal to slightly larger size but all have fur in them. He follows me all over and runs after me whenever I leave bedroom he just will not step on tile in kitchen so he has been moving about. Jumping on and off bed. Energy level is totally normal. Half hour until I could call his vet. Thank you for your advice he i
