        Hi

Just a quick question. How do I help my bunny pass gass?

Sometimes he goes in his litter box, but nothing happens. Hes uncomfortable and I can see it. His poos and pee is normal.

He lays down next to me and I know his tummy hurts.

I rub his little bellie and he lets a few out, but I just don’t think it’s enough.

        Can you guys help me?

Infant simethicone (gas drops) is safe to give bunnies to help them pass it when they get gassy tummies. A belly massage can help too. And trying to identify the cause. Often it’s a vegetable or other food that gives them gas. To identify it, you can give him one food, wait a few hours, see if it happens and if not, it’s OK. Stick to one type of food at a time so you can find the exact cause to cut out of his diet. You want to try to avoid it, cause it can lead to GI stasis if it gets really bad.
