Oakley has been trying to eat cardboard ALOT lately. I gave her a card board box as a boredom buster, and for a couple weeks she would just shred the cardboard but now she eats it. I worry that she will eat too much and get a blockage because that’s all she seems to want to do. I think she’s bored and I gave her toys but she just ignores them right now she has a hut made of hay, a mini carrot shaped car, and another wooden chew toy. (She had two other ones but she put them into her water bowl and the dye leaked out) She’s also been trying to eat my books Does anybody know some really good boredom busters for her so that she doesn’t get a blockage?

I have a bunny who has consumed much cardboard – he is still fine. I try to find other things for that pair to do, but all they seem to wan tto do is chew chew chew . I took away their dog pads because they shredded the foam. I’m trying to give them things that are safe – if they decide to ingest. Cardboard seems very tasty.. I wish tey wou;dn’t eat it though… They also have maple branches to chew on, pine wood and sisal scratch pads. And telephone directories to shred, plastic planters to toss around, tunnels, and a second level on their condo. And a lava rock to munch and a few of those wooden chew toys. And a sea grass mat. They still eat cardboard, and haven’t had a blockage. I’m not advocating it – but my bunnies have been fine – and I’m in the same boat. Would still prefer them NOT to consume cardboard.
