        Hello

So my bunny, Socks fractured her front left leg. We brought her to the vet and they just said to keep an eye on her. She’s doing good, Pooping, eating, etc . I just want to be sure I’m doing everything I can for her. So is there anything extra I can be doing at home?

        -Thanks

          Did you get pain meds?

Are you confining her so she isn’t trying to move around a lot or run?

Eepster- No, because she doesn’t seem to be in too much pain

LBJ10- Yes, I confine her to the top level of her hutch.

See a different vet. One who will give her pain meds. Rabbits are prey animals and hide pain extremely well to avoid looking weak to predators.

I agree. Even if the fracture isn’t bad enough where the vet feels a cast or split is warranted (i.e. just cage rest), your bunny should still have pain meds. If they are in pain, they may not want to eat.
